Drumming Boot Camp
The Drumming Boot Camp for beginners ages 10–13 meets 45 minutes each day for one week. The camp focuses on proper drum technique, right and left hand coordination, and basic rhythm patterns. Skills learned in this class will prepare the student for learning drumset or percussion instruments in band. Private lessons are available for those who wish to continue learning to play the drums. Students provide their own practice pads and drumsticks for the class, but may choose to practice on a snare drum at home. Snare drums with practice pads are available for rental.
Band Jam!!Have you always wanted to play in a band? Band Jam!! brings together singers, guitarists, bass players and drummers to form rock bands that rehearse and perform classic rock and popular music.
Family Drumming
Drumming is a wonderfully fun activity for the whole family. This drumming class for all agees meets once each week for one hour. Participants will learn to play conga style drums and a variety of world percussion instruments. Classes will include improvisation, ensemble playing, and drum circle playing. Good hand technique on drums, proper ways of holding and striking bells, and traditional ways of playing rattles will be emphasized.
